Here are a few pics we snapped on Mother’s Day at my parents’ house. This little stinker is learning how to ham it up for the camera, and I love it!

Well… I think I decided on a theme for the baby’s room! I knew I wanted to use black & white, and I thought about mint… but then I had the overwhelming desire to make the room a little girly. So I chose a peachy pink color for the walls (just finished painting it yesterday I’ll share pics soon).
I’ll be re-using the Jenny Lind crib from Amelia’s nursery, however I took the matching changing table to the studio so I decided to improvise and I’m going to try to use a console table. Then I can reuse it somewhere else in the house afterward! I found the vintage dresser at a local consignment shop and love it, despite the drawers being a little hard to use.
So we will see how it all comes together! : )
PB Grand Glider $949 | Dot Pillow $40 | Jenny Lind Crib $200 | Crib Sheet $27 | Vintage
Dresser | Console Table $290 | Custom Photo Canvas | Wicker Storage Basket $22
Black & White Striped Rug $149
Cute & Co. was pinned by Ballard Designs, my favorite catalog… pretty cool!
The bump has officially popped at 22 weeks. I’ve been having fun scoring some cute maternity items at H&M, Old Navy, Gap, etc., and have also been having fun making some of my non-maternity clothes work into outfits too. Love this navy dress and cute accessories!
Mama Dress $40 | Guess Gladiator Sandals $40 | La Totale Ikat Tote $69 | Guess Pink
Necklace $27 | Blush Sunglasses $70 | Flower Headband $11
So crib bedding… what’s the deal? How can a set including a bumper, fitted sheet, crib skirt and blanket cost $600?! I’ve come across a few companies that have 100% adorbs baby bedding, but I would feel 100% guilty spending that much money on bedding that will be used for a matter of months and that is going to be soiled repeatedly. Shoot I don’t even want to spend $150 on a new King size duvet cover that I know will last for years! There are less expensive options out there, but they just don’t seem to be as cute. So for today we’ll just dream a little… if money were no object…

Here’s a little Sunday inspiration. : ) Feeling thankful today!
I had the honor of hosting one of my best friend’s baby showers over the weekend! She’s having a baby girl in about 6 weeks and her name is going to be Abby. : ) I obviously love planning little get togethers and when it’s to celebrate something as wonderful as a new baby, it makes it evens sweeter.
I found the invitation design on Etsy and was able to use the graphics to make some coordinating pieces including a bookplate that was included with each invitation. Everyone brought a children’s book (Kelly loves to read) to start Abby’s book collection.
The tassels are tissue paper poms (down below) are from Etsy as well. The cookies and cake pops were made by my talented friend Maria of mariaVcreative. The adorable cake was made by my favorite local bakery, Frosting in Vero Beach.
Since I had a few book inspired ideas for the shower, I decided to do a little craft project for the favors. I purchased the felt flowers and leaves on Etsy and glued them to large paper clips to be used as bookmarks. I also designed some sticky note pads (ordered from Vista Print) to include with the little flower bookmarks.
The menu included quiche – broccoli & bacon, ham & cheese, and Greek; cucumbers with herbed cream cheese, mini muffins, fruit skewers and fruit & yogurt parfaits with granola. I always get nervous about serving food, will there be enough? Will everyone like what’s being served? The answer to both of these questions was YES, with plenty left over as well!
Kelly received tons of useful and thoughtful gifts for her little girl. I’m so happy I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for her, especially since she threw one for me when I was pregnant with my daughter almost four years ago!
I’ve been loving black & white so much recently… I’m considering painting the new baby’s room white. Feels weird to think about white walls on purpose instead of a color, we shall see! Here are some lovely black & white interiors for some decorating this lovely Thursday.

We had our 18 week ultrasound yesterday and found out we’re having a 2nd baby girl! Amelia has predicted all along that she’d have a sister… baby gender predictor was right! Here’s a little video I put together to announce on facebook, make sure to click HD. : )
