The New Room | Construction

I’m lucky enough to have a general contract in the family, my awesome dad owner of Randy Hines Construction, Inc. Steve and I have been talking about enclosing our porch for awhile now, simply because I wanted a space to work and a space for Amelia to play. If we ever do have a 2nd child, I wanted him/her to have their own bedroom so that meant my desk would have no place to live. I grew up in a house with a living room and a family room, and it helped keep a level of sanity when at least one of the rooms was kept toy free! So anyway, back to the project. I wanted as many windows as possible to let it lots of light. Here are some photos of the construction process, and later I’ll post some of my furniture selections, and the finished result!
