This weekend I am hosting my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower at my house! I obviously love a good party and loooove planning the concepts and details. They are getting married at an amazing botanical garden in town so I thought I’d stay close to the botanical theme and mix in some gold and bold stripes. I haven’t shared my inspiration yet because I didn’t want to give anything away, but here is what I’ve been using to put together the details. I found all of the images via Pinterest (follow me!) but made this board so long ago I don’t have the exact links anymore. I did, however, design the invitations. So head back next week to check out photos of the shower!

OK OK, I know my baby girl just turned 9 months old but I can’t help but start thinking about her 1st birthday party. I also have to plan my future sis-in-law’s bridal shower for the same month, so I need to get on the stick! Since Juliet’s birthday is in September, it’s kind of in between seasons. It’s not exactly summer but it’s certainly still deathly hot here in Florida. So I THINK I decided on a cute little Flamingo theme. Here are some ideas I threw together. It could be pretty cute!
While we’re on the subject of lofts… I’ve always thought how amazing it would be to plan or attend a wedding in a true city loft. Such spaces are usually a blank canvas but provide texture and usually great light, a photographer’s dream. : ) Who doesn’t love old exposed brick? I think these pale pinks and greens would look perfect for a loft wedding.
