Check out the full feature on Ruffled! : )
If you haven’t seen it, Ruffled is one of the cutest wedding planning blogs out there right now. The ladies of Ruffled contacted us [at Vitalic Photo] about doing an exclusive editorial shoot for their blog. We were of course so excited and started planning for a subtle Valentine’s Day theme!

We started doing a family session the weekend of Thanksgiving after Amelia was born. These always end up being the most displayed photos in our house since it includes all of us. : ) My photography partner and BFF Chrissy got some super pretty pictures of us — I’m forever grateful for her! I’ll post our Christmas card design this week too. : )
Amelia’s outfit is from Next
Here are some photos of a shoot I recently styled with Charlotte Tripson of Waldo’s Garden. She came to me with the idea of a photoshoot to promote the property so of course I was down for planning it. Come back on Thursday to see the bride/groom portion of the shoot! : )

Here is our Gold, Pink and Black & White Stripes styled shoot! We think it came together quite nicely and we were lucky enough to have one of Vitalic’s couples to model for us!
We religiously follow so many of the wedding blogs and always take note of the styles and trends that we see and love. While everything has been vintage vintage vintage for quite some time now, it seems the trendsetters are starting to merge elements. We feel like trends are leaning toward the mix of vintage details with clean lines and bold patterns (is anyone NOT obsessed with chevron these days). We decided that an old diesel plant in Vero Beach would provide the perfect backdrop for our shoot… it’s urban and raw and looks amazing mixed with the soft pinks and glitzy golds that we’re already obsessed with. We also wanted to work in a feather detail and love the softness that contrasts so well with the brick. As always, Jill at Pink Pelican Florist was absolutely amazing in helping us with the shoot. She is always generous in donating her time and talents and does such beautiful floral work, we’re glad to know and love her and everyone at her shop!
My photography partner Chrissy and I decided to do a styled shoot last year. We loved the idea of putting details together that we loved. It almost felt like planning our own weddings over again! We wanted something rustic, but pretty with whites and pinks and woods. And hobnail, we wanted to use vintage hobnail pieces.
