How I Make My Bed

There are tons of ways to make a bed… and tons of components that go into bedding. What kind of bed person are you, a duvet or quilt person, a 1 or 2 pillow sleeper, do you like standard or Euro shams? I, for one love a big fluffy duvet, two sleeping pillows and Euro shams all the way. If you want to update your bedding, get some Euro shams, I feel like they make a bed look grown up! So I start with my Euros and stack my king pillows in front. Some people put Euros in the front, but I feel like it looks odd to have taller pillows floating in front of the shorter sleepers. Then it’s nice to have a couple decorative pillows in front creating the whole layered effect.

If I had a nice blanket (and also if we ever needed an extra blanket in Florida), I would use that to tuck in over the sheets and fold my duvet cover at the end of the bed. But instead I opt for this practical and easy-to-make option where I fold just the top portion down along with the sheet. So that’s how I make my bed, not sure it’s Martha Stewart proper, but it looks cute enough for me. : )
