Roseland Project: Windows & Drywall

Dining area & office/den

We walked into the Roseland house last week after they got the drywall hung and I got a little bit giddy… it’s starting to feel put back together again!  The impact windows are all in, and they are perfect.  I went back and forth with the grid layout/size, but I am SO happy with what I chose.  We ended up having to keep the window openings essentially the same as the old ones due to structural components, so they aren’t perfectly centered like I had hoped for… but it’s really not the end of the world.  It’s a little easier to visualiz now that the drywall is up, it’s crazy that a space actually feels bigger when the solid walls go up as opposed to just the studs.

Here’s a link to the floor plan re-design if you want to get a sense of the space.  And if you haven’t seen it, look at the before photos… it looks crazy different already, I can’t wait for the final before and after.

Are you leaving the fireplace as-is?
