Today is my pretty baby’s 3rd birthday!  It’s just crazy how kids open up your heart and settle in there.  They make life worth living with their cuteness, humor and unconditional love.  Don’t you feel like you could burst with pride and love when you think about your babies?  Here are some photos from each year of Amelia Kate.  <3  Happy Birthday!

Front Yard Frolicking

October 12, 2012 — Leave a comment

We recently (by we I mean Steve) planted some pretty little flowers in our flower bed out front.  Last night as we were rolling around in the grass in the Florida fall weather (78 degrees), I noticed how pretty the sun looked hitting the freshly planted flowers and made a mad dash for my camera.  I feel like Amelia is FINALLY starting to enjoy having her picture taken.  I can give her pose ideas and she now takes it to the next level of cuteness.

Cousin Time

My cousin Emily, her husband and daughter came to visit my Aunt in town for a week so we got to get in some good cousin time!  Amelia is 10 months older than Louisa so it’s now starting to get really fun for them to hang out.  Little girls are the best.

Amelia’s New Room | Final

September 10, 2012 — 7 Comments

The pillows I ordered for Amelia’s room fiiiiinally arrived so I decided to snap a few pics of her room in its finished state.  I like how it all came together, and I especially like that we already owned most of everything in the room!  I was drawn to the grey and white striped duvet after seeing it an image on Pinterest but at first thought it might be a little too boy-ish.  Cue the pink sheets!  Amelia loves the sheer bed hangings, or “princess curtains” as she calls them, and we have to close them as part of our tucking-in process.  At first I was going to stick to neutrals and pinks, but after playing with accessories and her books and deciding to keep her cupcake wall art, I opted for some colorful pillows.  I think they add a perfect amount of pop to the room.  Enjoy the pics and check out my sources below the photos! : )

Although it’s still hot as you-know-what outside here in Florida, we decided it would be a fun family outing to go to our local zoo.  Fall wedding season is almost here which means I will have no Saturdays left to do all-day fun things.  This was Amelia’s first trip and I must say she did enjoy it!  I’ve been to this zoo a few times for weddings and sessions and the giraffes are always “sleeping” — not sure what that mans in zoo lingo because we learned that they never sleep more than 30 seconds at a time standing up, haha.
