The Power of Pattern

I always remember my Dad complaining about taking down any wallpaper in our house when redoing the walls in a room, so I usually thought of wallpaper in a negative way… until I worked for a residential design firm. We usually specified wallpaper for at least one room in a project whether it was a powder room, laundry room, office or bedroom, or any room really. I grew to love wall coverings, even if they were as simple as a neutral raffia texture. I suppose that with the types of clients we had, they didn’t have to worry about physically taking the paper down themselves. : )
