Using Lockers in Your Home

It’s almost time for heading Back to School!  I know I know, Amelia is only going back to preschool, but it still [kinda] counts.  She has been asking about school every morning for awhile, she’s probably sick of me saying, “Not today, but in a couple weeks!”  This year she will be in the 3’s class and go 3 days a week in the mornings.  She of course loves it and it will be nice to have a few hours alone with the new baby each week!

I got to thinking about what reminds me of school that could relate to your home and I thought of lockers.  Would you use lockers in your house, either vintage or built-in?  I love the look of built-in lockers in a secondary entry — a place to stow backpacks, purses, jackets (not that we use them often in Florida), shoes, etc.  Although I like the clean look when there are doors to hide everything, I think having the area in plain sight makes it easier to remember, “HEY put your stuff here!”
